SV Kirsty B
Dwayne sailed from Phuket, Thailand, to Puteri Marina, Malaysia, on the catamaran Kirsty B with the owners to assist them in navigating through the Malacca Straits, which can be daunting for new sailors.

SV Saveke
Phuket, Thailand, to Langkawi, Malaysia, and back to Phuket (380MN) for a change of ownership and registration. We had to overcome a few mechanical issues and rubbish around the propellor to safely return Saveke to her eagerly awaiting new owner.

SV Savannah
Phuket, Thailand to Langkawi, Malaysia (150MN). We had a beautiful trip to Langkawi, not even one tropical squall.

SV Ohana
Newcastle, New South Wales, to Portland, Victoria (750Nm).

Caught on webcam, Ohana entered Bermagui to sit out some adverse weather.

SV Madeira
We helped Madeira’s owners to take her from Phuket to Darwin (2600NM). Everything went smoothly, and Madeira is back in her home berth.

SV Top Secret
Delivered Top Secret from Phuket to Langkawi (150NM). Top Secret was on a hardstand and needed a clean, and then we relaunched her and headed directly to Langkawi, where she went into a berth at Rebak Island.
SV Seveke
Seveke was taken from Phuket to Langkawi and returned for a change of ownership and registration (300NM).

MV Markissa
We delivered Markissa, an ex-cray-fishing boat, from Phuket to Darwin (2600NM). After fixing a few problems at Port Klang in Malaysia, the delivery went smoothly, albeit with a few exciting electrical storms.

SV Blue Dream
Before we could deliver Blue Dream, a Beneteau, from Darwin, Australia, to Bali (1000NM), Indonesia, she had to come out of the water to get a new shaft seal, cutlass and zinc anodes. The sail to Bali was uneventful, which made for an almost stress-free trip. However, there was very little wind, so we had to motor all the way. Formalities in Indonesia were a little confusing as regulations and rules constantly change during this pandemic.

SY Nomad
We relocated Nomad from Sydney to Brisbane (470NM). We had to overcome a few mechanical problems, but it was mostly a smooth run.
SY Nomad
Delivered Nomad from Phuket to Sydney (5000NM). As well as the usual problem associated with deliveries and boats in general, we had to contend with the problems that Covid-19 presented. Borders were shut down, getting fuel and water was difficult, and we did a 14-day quarantine.

SV Lion Rock
We flew to Vietnam in October to take Lion Rock back to Hong Kong. Thinking this would be a quick two-week delivery, it was disappointing when Lion Rock was towed in from the ‘Hong Kong to Nha Trang yacht race’ without a working engine, a damaged sail track, and, therefore, no working sail. Getting any work done to the boat in Nha Trang was nearly impossible. However, parts were sent in, and Dwayne fixed several problems. Nonetheless, we could not take the boat out of the water, so all issues could not be addressed. In the end, we left without a working engine. Dwayne had glued the sail track on, and we sailed to Kota Kinabalu, which was the only viable option.
Lion Rock was pulled from the water in Kota Kinabalu, and repairs were made. We set sail again, only to have to turn around for more repairs before we could finally sail her to Subic (1250NM). She will wait for the Coronavirus border closures to reopen.

SV Somni
Somni is a 56-foot Lagoon. Dwayne skippered Somni from Istanbul, Turkey, to Naxos, Greece, during June/July. His duties included navigating, sailing, motoring, maintenance, repairs, and teaching new owners about their boats and how to sail. Dwayne spent over a week preparing the boat in Istanbul before cruising around the Greek Islands for a month.
Dwayne and Kelly spent another five weeks in August on SV Somni, sailing Greece and Croatia. Their duties included all the above, plus night watches and cooking.

SV Blackadder
Blackadder is a 25ft Nordic Folk Boat. We delivered her from Langkawi to Phuket (150NM). We knew that delivering Blackadder would be challenging as she had been sitting unused for several years without tender loving care. We made the trip in 28 hours. We started with calm conditions, and the sunset that evening was absolutely beautiful.

A few things did cause concern; lucky for us, they were discovered and dealt with before dark and the storm hit. The traveller support broke (rotten wood), and the engine mount broke. Dwayne attended to these issues with rope and some know-how.
As I mentioned, we had calm conditions as the sunset, but at 0130, the first of many fronts hit us, bringing rough seas and lashings of rain and wind. This wasn’t a surprise, as the area is known for it at this time of year, but inconvenient nonetheless. The rough weather continued until we got Blackadder to Boat Lagoon in Phuket, safe and sound, albeit with a very tired crew.

Charter Skipper in Croatia
Dwayne skippered, and Kelly crewed on a two-week charter on the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. We sailed a 42ft Lagoon for two weeks with eight people on board. We started at Trogir and stopped at Solta, Brač, Hvar, Vis, Mljet, Dubrovnik, Ston, Korčula, Stari grad, and back to Trogir. It is a fantastic place to cruise.

SY Nomad
We crewed on Nomad, a 60-foot schooner from Phuket to Langkawi (160NM). It is a lovely boat, and everything went well.

SV Seraph
Dwayne moved Seraph, a 75-foot gaff rig schooner, from Krabi to Phuket (50NM). Seraph was launched in Copenhagen in 1906 and has a very interesting history.

SV Lion Rock
We were asked once again to deliver Lion Rock. Lion Rock, an Azuree 40, competed in the Hong Kong to Sanya Race, and we were asked to deliver her home to Hong Kong. Sanya is on the island of Hainan in China. It took us four days; unfortunately, the wind wasn’t favourable. We couldn’t lay off Hong Kong and sailed extra miles with the wind hard on the nose! It was exciting sailing through Chinese water, dodging the fishing boats and ships. This time, we entered Hong Kong mid-morning, and gee, it was chaotic! It was a great experience.

New boat delivery
We delivered a Leopard 45 Catamaran from Townsville to Airlie Beach (150NM).

New boat delivery
We moved a brand new Leopard 43 Powercat from Townsville to Airlie Beach (150NM). It was an uneventful delivery with the thrill of seeing three manta rays swimming by!

New boat delivery
We moved a brand new Leopard 45 Catamaran from Townsville to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (660NM). This lovely boat was a pleasure to sail, and we delivered her safely to her new owner. Thankfully, it was an uneventful trip, with the only excitement being the sighting of humpback whales and dolphins.

SV Lion Rock
Lion Rock is an Azuree 40 we delivered from Phuket to Hong Kong (2500Nm). It is a race boat that is a beauty to sail.

MV Sea Kestrel
Sea Kestrel is a Perry 45 Powercat. Dwayne delivered Sea Kestrel from Fremantle in Western Australia to the Gold Coast in Queensland (3000Nm).

New boat delivery
Dwayne delivered a new Leopard 40 Catamaran Sydney to Airlie Beach (1000Nm) for one of the boat charter companies. This delivery was uneventful, apart from the opportunity to see a lot of humpback whales!
SV Dreamtime
We delivered Dreamtime, an Oceanis 427, from Langkawi, Malaysia, to Pattaya, Thailand (1300NM). There were the usual “wet season” obstructions, including floating logs, nets and ropes. Dwayne had to jump overboard a few times to un-foul the prop.
We had some electrical issues and bad weather, but SV Dreamtime was delivered to her new home promptly and without any significant issues.

SV Savannah
Savannah is a Roberts 45. We delivered her from Phuket to Pattaya in Thailand(1550NM). This delivery wasn’t straightforward because Savannah had been sitting in Rebak Marina for three years before being bought by the new owners. In fact, Dwayne was instructed to take Savannah to Phuket, where she was hauled out and, for the next six weeks, was worked on until she was ready to sail.
She is a beautiful boat, and we set sail when she was in better shape. The delivery wasn’t without difficulties. There were the usual “wet season” obstructions, including floating logs, nets, and ropes. Dwayne had to jump overboard in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand to cut a 2-inch-thick rope from the prop.
There were also other mechanical and electrical problems, including the heat exchanger, replacement of raw water hoses, fuel filter, and bilge pump. Thankfully, there was nothing that Dwayne could not overcome, and we delivered her safely to her new home in Pattaya.
